Hello,

 

APM 2.  In calibration mode.  Firmware ArduCopter 2.5.3.

 

APM input channels 1,2,3,6,7, and 8 move as expected with output from receiver.

 

Channel 4 and 5 inputs appear to be tied together.

 

APM 2 input channels 4 and 5 display the same value output from channel 4 (rudder).

 

APM 2 input channels 4 and 5 display the same value output from channel 5 (rudder output moved from input 4 to input 5).

 

Confirmed by connecting one cable from receiver channel 4 to input channel 4.  Input channels 4 and 5 move together.  All other channels 1,2,3,5,6,7, and 8 disconnected.

 

Confirmed by watching flight modes change as channel 4 values changed.

Input signal pins 4 and 5 have continuity (and they shouldn't).

 

Assumption:  circuit board or surface mount chip leads have short circuit.
