Cam IR Trigger

Hi all

My problem is Strange to say the least...

I have a pixhawk 2 on a S800... Flying great..

But when it comes back from a mission the camera (Sony A6000) is in ISO selection mode..

It has take a load of pix.. but as you can see from the Data set report, not doing a great job...

Is anyone having Trigger Issues

  • How much time between triggers?
It appears you are trying to trigger faster than the camera can keep up, and the internal buffer is filling up. Are their more CAM messages than photos?
    • Thanx for your reply iskess,

I have had many successful flights with more pictures @ 1.17sec intervals... One flight was 286 images with 286 Triggers...

the issue seems intermittent... More testing today..

      Im using a Flytron V2 trigger ( http://www.flyingtech.co.uk/fpv-camera-gimbals/flytron-infrared-rem... )

Maybe some interference, Or Maybe something i just noticed. it is for a canon... but it has worked... and should work.. Right???

      • I found that IR trigger to be too slow. The cheap HobbyKing one was significantly faster. I've since switched to wired triggering only since IR can induce inconsistent lag.
        • Just to unreliable hey... Like i said.. 286 pix.. and didn't miss a beat...
But yes.. getting a Wired trigger.. already in the mail...

What is the trigger you use now.... and is it spot on???

          • I use a homemade one. Very simple to make with a single transistor if you buy the special multiport plug. It is spot on.
