Hi!
I am data scientist working mainly in python and I want to implement some computer vision to my crazyflie. The problem is that I dont have slight idea about electronics, physics etc. ( I dont know what Ghz is, how to solder cables etc. ) and I dont have any equipment except for laptop and crazyflie 2.0 (https://store.bitcraze.io/collections/b ... ker-bundle)
My question is whether without knowledge from electronics and equipment (like soldering iron) I will be able to mount camera to crazyflie :

I want video stream flowing into my ubuntu laptop. If I have crazyflie 2.0. and https://hobbyking.com/en_us/quanum-elit ... tore=en_us what should I buy in order to make it working? Some USB video receiver which will receive signal from camera and then I will transform this signal to graphics by some python library? Could you recommend some USB digitalizer and video receiver for camera linked above?

Thanks for great and elaborate answer !!!
When it comes to video receivers I also found this ( can be also plugged into laptop) :

Do you have any opinion on this receiver ?

Greetings,
I hope you are doing well.
SOLDERING
The components you mentioned would not require soldering, if you are content with separate control of the camera and aircraft. If you want remote control of the camera through the crazyflie, some additional circuitry (and soldering) will be necessary.
COMMENTS
Your main restriction would be the flight time vs payload.
The Crazyflie 2.0´s maximum payload capacity of 15g. Not sure what the aircraft´s range would with full load.
At minimum you would need the quadcopter to carry the camera, a video transmitter and the batteries for those.
The camera+transmitter combo you mentioned weighs 4.5 g and the lightest 1S 3.5V LiPoly battery offered by the same store are around 6.4 g [1], for a total of 10.9 g.
Add in the attachment structure and an 1.4 g optical flow deck [3] for autonomous flight and you´re near the maximum payload. More flight time requires a larger (heavier) battery.
RECEIVER
- From the same store, this one [5] should work, based on the store-provided specifications, but I would need to search for and peruse their manuals ([4] and [5]) to be sure.
APROPOS
Depending on your deadlines, you may consider waiting for or collaborating with bitcraze´s current "flying eye" prototype [4].
