Hi All,
I am a newbie in quad copter and drone area. All your help and opinion would be highly appreciated.
I was thinking of putting some structure around the drone rotors, and was wondering how it will affect the flight behavior?
If not on the rotors directly, may be just around it ? May be convert it to a small flying structure? Like a small house or a toy ?
Please let me know. Thanks again.
Cheers,
Kiran

I would reccoment making a pair of prop guards or buying a frame with built in motor protection. This is a prop guard hobbyking sells you could make http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__52012__11_inch_universal...
and this is a frame that has built in motor housings.

In the end it comes down to you, I recommend making/buying some prop guards if you have access to powertools and wood carving equipment as sometimes motor housings trap heat.
Thanks Gabriel,
I was thinking more than just protection.
More like a structure, which will make the quad-copter more aesthetically more beautiful.
May be like a lamp like structure, I can place around it. But i am not sure what will be the flight behavior.
Or may be i will need to increase the RPM? I don't know ....
Please let me know. Thanks.

Maybe a duct of some sort, but that may result in efficiency loss (I have heard gain too not aerospace engineer).
I would look at jet turbine design although they use high rpm muiltiblade structures so many motors with 2000kv plus like these tigers http://www.minihquad.com/motors/tiger-mn1806-blackout-3s-2300kv-motor on this frame http://www.minihquad.com/frames/mini-h-quad/blackout-mini-h-quad
sorry for late reply
