See title.

I want to install my RC receiver in my glider's wing and just lead a PPM-SUM cable to the fuselage. I have 7 channels to control (rudder, ele, thr, ail-left, ail-right, flaps on y-cable, headtracker pan). At the moment I'm trying to decide if I need to buy a PPM decoder (if I can find one) or if the APM 2.5 can be used a PPM decoder for my none-autopilot channels (i.e. flaps, pan). I read that APM 2.5 supports dual ailerons so that's covered. Now all I must know is if I can use channels 6-8 as pass throughs.

Yes - no problem.  The APM will happily take in PPM-SUM and spit out the channel 5-8 stuff (though I use 8 as my mode control)
