Problems seen when trying to configure arducopter:
1. Loss of binding with the transmitter frequently during configuration steps or inability to bind
2. Inability to calibrate all esc's-one motor always has a problem(twitching or no response)
3. Twitching motors and motors that don't respond at all
4. No power to APM board
5. After APM board gained power, the receiver still doesn't respond (No LED light or response to transmitter)
I checked the voltage on the power cable attached to the receiver and it reads 5V. I also checked the wires coming from the ESCs and they also read 5V.
Could these problems all be attributed to a faulty RC receiver or transmitter?
Also, does the 'setup' 'motors' command in the APM Mission Planner Terminal work without calibrating the ESCs or radio?

Hi Jill,
That's a list!
1, how are you powering the TX?
2, how have you connected the motors to the ESC's? they all soldered or are you using connectors? If you have connectors in place please remove and solder the motor / ESC's direct.
3, as point 2, have you calibrated each ESC to your TX?
4, have you checked that the 5volt feed is going to the rail on the APM at the time of the loss of connection, do you have a "brown out" on the ESC under load, which PDB are you using?
5, have you taken the power from the APM rail to the RX system on the copter or are you using another system to power the RX as it will not take power from USB when connected to a PC?
Regards
Martin.
