I have 2+2 motors for a mini quad
2 of them have a nuts that tighten in CCW, the other two in CW
my hunch is I should use the CCW nuts on the CW motors so to counteract the direction therefore self-tightening...but maybe i'm wrong...
any help?

I think I found the solution myself. As expected the CCW nuts goes on the CW motor.

Franc, it's for self tightening only.
