I am completely new to this whole DIY Drone stuff, never built one, never had an RC plane to be honest. I got to thinking, has anyone ever tried a Cellular Drone (for super long distances)? I've been looking for anyone who has done this, and I have come up with nothing, I can't be the first person who has thought of this.
I saw on sparkfun that they have a GSM module for arduino and i would imagine it could be used for this. I know that the signals cant be real time, there will be a delay... but as long as it's got a bit of altitude the delay can be manageable, you'd just have to switch it to radio when landing, which brings me to my next question.
Does ILS landing exist for RC planes?
