Changes from 2.1.2 to 2.2.0

Hi

I am trying to track down the changes from APM release 2.1.2 to 2.2.0 [1].

Some of the checkin comments do not make much sense to me, maybe someone could further explain the following ci comments?

  • [r3159] (tridge60@***.com) added ARSPD_ENABLE EEPROM config parameter
  • [r3091] (deweibel) Add throttle slew limit
  • [r2976] (deweibel) Add "Guided" mode. This feature is untested!
  • [r2897] (deweibel) Significant changes to failsafe handling. Prelim work for GCS joystick control.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Cheers,

-S

1) by reading svn logs and diffing code between 2.1.2 and 2.2.0

  • 1) There is a variable called airspeed_enabled in the code that can now be directly controlled. The one place I remember seeing it used is to control whether nav_pitch is used for airspeed control or altitude control.

    2) This sounds like a rate limit for how quickly throttle can be changed.

    3) This is a new feature in the APM Mission Planner that allows the user to just click on the map and have the vehicle go to that spot and loiter.

    4) Don't know, but it sounds like they are adding an option to use a PC joystick to fly the vehicle from the groundstation.
