Has any one ever tried connecting two 3s lipo batteries in series and charge them like it was one 6cell battery??

This could save some charging time, if it doesn't blow up :)

Bantam (who manufacture my charger) make a balance board exactly for this purpose. They do stress the batteries should be as similar as possible.

I guess you'd have to make up an adapter cable to convert the two 4-way balance cables into a single 7-way balance plug to fit your 6s charger.

The most positive pin of the lower battery 4-way connector would be joined to the most negative pin of the upper battery 4-way connector.

Other than that I can't see a problem, but do this at your own risk.

Have you noted advice elsewhere about charging Lipos in fireproof bags and/or inside fireproof crockpots?
