Hello,
Today I received my ArduIMU V2+ (http://store.diydrones.com/ArduIMU_V2_Flat_p/kt-arduimu-20.htm) and my FTDI Cable 3.3v (http://store.diydrones.com/FTDI_Cable_3_3V_p/ttl-232r-3v3.htm).
I began following the Getting Started Guide and get this error:
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51
After some avid Googling I found this is a very common problem but have yet to find a solution that works.
Here is what I have tried and my setup:
Using Arduino 0022 and standard ArduIMU code 1.7
Plug USB cable directly into mother board USB port (No hubs or expansions)
Plug other end into ArduIMU (Green to GRN and Black to BLK)
Checked port in device manager and checked board for Arduino Duemilanove or Nano w/ ATmega328
Got error
Also tried pushing reset button at various intervals as well as powering the board from my ESC. Checked all soldered joints and re soldered them.
Reinstalled FTDI drivers (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm)
Through my searching I believe my FTDI cable is at fault which is disappointing for a ~$20 cable but is there a working cable some one would recommend?
Also does anyone know what this error actually means?
Thank you for anything and everything I really want to make this work. If you need anymore information I will be happy to provide it!
