People often ask me now does the GDU Byrd Premium 2.0 compare with the DJI Mavic Pro? Both are foldable portable drones and that
is really where the similarity ends. Whilst the Mavic Pro has a fixed gimbal and camera the GDU Byrd Premium 2.0 has been designed
to accommodate a number of different gimbals and cameras making the Byrd Premium 2.0 one of the most versatile multi-purpose flying
platforms available today.
The Byrd can be setup with a 1080P camera, GoPro style cameras, Thermal Imaging camera, ILDC (Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera)
gimbal, 10 times zooming gimbal & camera and a one button stretching gimbal & camera. Rather than buy one quadcopter for one
application and another to undertake a different task the Byrd can be adapted to suit the demands of different and varied scenarios.
Significant cost saving is plain to see, training times will be reduced and operators will be far more comfortable using one flying platform.

The Byrd 2.0 diagonal size is 622mm when unfolded; its net weight is 1890g which is considerably larger and heavier than the Mavic Pro
(see below comparison photo) and has been constructed to fly in winds of 29-38km/h level.
GDU also offer a Mobile SDK so users can customize the functionality according to their needs perfect for agriculture mapping (see example
video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXpgq3v6_kg ) and a vast variety of applications.
The team at GDU are committed to working closely with their clients throughout the Globe to ensure they get the maximum benefit from
this unique innovative flying platform.
