Compass Calibration Error

Hi! I have an APM 2.6 (according to the Ebay seller) with an external GPS+Compass module.
My GPS works fine, but for the moment I haven’t been able to have the compass calibrated.
Every time I attempt a calibration on the Mission Planner, I end up like in the picture below (please, click on the image to expand to original size so that you can read the MP message)

It says it has obtained 3 samples, and a Compass 1 and Compass 2 Error 99 appear. If I start turning my Quad, nothing happens (no points are collected on the screen).

I tried to calibrate the compass either connected via USB and via telemetry, but it didn’t make much of a difference.

Also tried to calibrate it without the GPS+Compass Module (only the APM) and choosing the calibration option “APM with Onboard Compass”, just in case the seller had sent me an APM 2.5, but I had the same issue.

Any idea?
Thanks!!

PD: I also attach a picture of my GPS+Compass Module. It's supposed to be an Ublox Neo 6M module

  • any idea??

    • I took my apm apart just to see if it was 2.5 or 2.6. the modual is indeed a 3dr board in 2.6.  but the compass is not. there have been other complaints about the compass modual. I would check to see if the compass is working or not first. mine has a lite blinking on the top and I had no problem programing it
