I am trying to tune my compass. I have set my declination manually to 12' 7min for Los Angeles ca. I have done my compass calibration and had it give me offests below 180. I have done my compassmat and got a reading less than 1%. I am on an apm 2.6 clone and LEA-6h compass/gps mounted on a post above my quad. My heading is dead on when pointing north and matches the compass on my phone. But when I spin the quad 180' to the south the compass is off by 70'. Any idea why it would be off when spun 180?

This is the compass/gps i'm using. I'm starting to wonder do some "compasses" use gps to find their orientation? Instead of having a true magnetic compass? This "compass" has no arrow to indicate what direction it should be pointed. But I see every other compass has an arrow so i'm suspicious.
