Compassmot stuck at 24%?

Hi guys,

Bit of a strange one this - I've spent the evening gradually increasing the length of my GPS mast, as I was getting 24% on compassmot. For me this is unacceptably high (the highest I have had until now has been 1%). As you can see from the pic, it's now a good height above the noise...or it should be. The problem is, I started at 4cm, and at 6, 7 and now 8cm above the deck, I got 24% ON ALL SCORES.

My test approach is the same - spool up to 50%, then increase 10% every 5 data point until 100%. Then slam the throttle to zero.

Is there something I'm missing? Why would the compassmot score not reduce, the further from the noise it got? Could it be getting affected by movement? At 100% throttle it does get a bit bouncy on the legs.

At 24% I'm slightly apprehensive about actually flying it...

  • Oh and thank for making a proprietary 5/6 connector for the GPS, 3DR....I have to route it through the battery bay. And I refused to pay $38 shipping for a $5, longer cable.

    • I was looking at the 3DR GPS Mast yesterday. There is now a $7 USPS shipping option. It's about time.

Regarding the longer cable, I spliced a length of wire into the middle of mine to extend it. Solder and heatshrink.
