I see on the Pixhawk product page it says it only work up to 8 channels on Spektrum satellite recievers. Does this mean that a satellite that has been bound to a 9 channel RX wnt work at all or that you will only get 8 channels? I have a 9 channel satellite that Ive been using with another flight controller and Id like to avoid buying a new 8 channel RX just to bind the satellite once.
Also does this actually work?

Some other posts here make it sound like the binding procedure doesnt work.

@John,
I believe that the Spektrum Remote Receiver will only put out as many channels as it receives to the Pixhawk. Therefore if it receives signals from a 7 channel transmitter, it will only put out 7 channels to the Pixhawk.

I use a Spektrum module that plugs into an Aurora 9 TX. You can bind it as 7, 8, or 9 ch and its currently bound as 9. What happens when a 9 channel satellite is used with the Pixhawk?
