Does anyone know if I can connect the magnetometer to this I2C Cable to Pin converter http://store.diydrones.com/I2C_Splitter_p/br-0009-03.htm and connect it to the oilpan with the GPS cable http://store.diydrones.com/EM_406_uBlox_Adaptor_Cable_10_cm_p/ca-0001-06.htm

i think it will work. I guess you want to make a cleaner connection from the oilpan to the magnetometer instead of just directly soldering the wires to the mag or instead of directly soldering the mag to the oilpan?
In any case, i know on the oilpan side it's the 4 right-most wires that are used. I imagine that it's the same on the "I2C Cable to Pin converter" but I can't be 100% sure...still, I'd be a little surprised if it wasn't considering they're all made by diy drones.

I don't know if you can do what you have said above, however I have posted the Magnetometer link so you can have a look at the way it would be fitted to the Oilpan. This might be of some help to you. One other question why are you looking to fit the magnetometer to the APM/Oilpan, I believe you are using GPS with your set-up?
