Connection issues with APM.

I know other people have been having problems like this. I had my APM connect once to my computer and it configured. But when I tried to configure it again, the APM will not connect to my computer. Yes the baud rate is set to 115200, Com Port only three (3) are are listed on Mission Planner: AUTO, TCP, UDP. The Device Manager on the computer show Ports (COM & LPT), Arduino Mega 2560 (COM 3)

Went to properties and this was the message?

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

I have the APM connected to the computer with the USB, the APM is lighted, (no green light though)?

I've tried to connect the APM on 3 different computers using Mission Planner and always the same result. Will not connect? (The APM did connect once.) So I tend to think it is a MP glitch? Does anyone have an answer to this problem? How to get the APM to connect to Mission Planner so it can be programmed?3691145359?profile=original

  • Okay, after uninstalling the "Mission Planner" with "firmware" numerous times on my pc, AND, resetting my computer to factory default settings too see if my computer would connect with the "flight control board", that didn't work?

(When you connect a device to a computer, the computer should automatically start looking to connect, *device driver's*.) All my computer did was power the "board"... It didn't connect to it?

I also tried several other computer's, each with it's own OS, and even purchased a new USB micro cable. (Same results! The "board" powered up, but it did not connect to the computer's?) I checked the settings in (COM & LPT), they are correct.

So I am coming to the conclusion that the "flight control board" itself - is defective...

  • UPDATE - I tried one more thing. I reset the computer to factory default, then I reinstalled the mission planner. It installed on the computer, but when the USB cable was connected to th APM, the firmware on the APM it didn't load...? The mission planner installed the PX4 FMU? Not the ARDUPILOT Mega? I just loaded the APM 2.0 and when I went to install it, the 32 bits driver box that you check to select was greyed out? So I can not load 32 bit drivers only 64 bit drivers?

  • Here's the APM connected to the computer using the USB cable. But Mission Planner does not see it? Or does the computer ? Will not install drivers when hooked up?3701811072?profile=original
