Does the APM 1 & 2 do the crc checking or the apm planner? I am now using XRF's and they sort out crc checking for you, so wondered if it can be turned off on the apm or apm planner to see if that helps?

CRC are used for every mavlink packet, both to and from the planner/apm. What you are seing in the console box is packet being droped because the crc failed. which could be Because of
bad/currupt data or missing data
