Deciding what camera to buy. Quick question

Looking in the mission planner. I see Canon S100 is not listed, but Canon S110 and S120 are listed.

Canon S100 has GPS, but the Canon S110 & S120 do not.

So I want to buy the S100 because of the GPS, but because it's missing from Mission Planner is throwing up a red flag.  Has it been removed for a reason?  I've done research but can't find anything.  What's the deal?  Thank you in advance.

I apologize if I posted this in the wrong forum.  I know there are 2 separate products Mission planner / APM Mission Planner.  Not sure the difference.  Couldn't find a good summary post on that either.

  • So what camera out there is everyone recommending for experimenting with aerial surveys?

technicly you can get a better gps fix for the images using a tlog/df log. as the inbuilt gps may have up to a 1 seconds delay. vs our ublox running at 4-5 hz.

there is nothing stoping you from using the s100, but a gps isn't realy needed
