  • I bought a APM (Oil Pan) and ArduPilot specific for the ArduCopter project. I also just wish that there were a way to follow the progress of this project. I mean it is after all opensource. Maybe just some way to see that the team are currently sorting out the GPS Hold function or Barometer Altitude hold for example. At the moment most of us are in the dark? We only get to hear that the team are busy (and hopefully we will have something end of Sept or early Oct) but we don't have a clue what the issues are?

Every 2 day or 3rd day update will be nice.... Just my 50sent contribution.

  • Ahhh that makes sense, same question as Andre though, is their a way to get read access to the list to keep up on whats going on and how things are progressing on the dev side.
  • I was wondering that, too. Is it possible to somehow subscribe to that email list, maybe even only in a read-only mode? It would somehow be nice to follow code changes and the ideas behind. Currently, the only way besides the forum seems to be to look at revision diffs and then guess what the reasoning behind these are. However, of course I would understand if this list is non-public, I'm just asking :)

And on average day we have around 10 email transactions, on busy days it can be as high as 50 along with over seas conference calls that happens 1-3 times per week.Like Chris said, dev teams work a lot behind scenes.

Most of the discussion is happening in the dev email list. The commits are happening across the Ardu* project, including the libraries and APM. Because these projects all share much of the same code, it's hard to track any one on a single site. (The dev teams coordinate behind the scenes, of course)
