Hi everyone!Soo happy to find this site about Drones! Sorry for my English...Im a student, engennier mecatronic. So, I want to developed and make a UAV. But I want(I dont now if is possible) developed hardware (autopilot) and software(ground station and program). So, how is my first step to developed a autopilot(hardware)? Some like ArduPilot.I need some software? Like Quartus or MultiSim?And for software, I want to use JAVA, its possible to developed with? Thanks for yours patience!

I think ArduPilot would be a good starting point for you. The code for the hardware is written in Arduino, which is basically an extension of C. The code is already well developed, so you can get a plane flying quickly, then move on to customizing it for your own goals. There is a ground station already developed with a program called Labview. If you wanted to write your own ground station software, you could certainly use Java. The ArduPilot sends data to the ground station over a serial connection, and I'm sure that Java has utilities to communicate with a serial port.
This page has links to everything you would need to purchase to get an ArduPilot setup. The hardware is already developed, so you would not need to use Quartus or Multisim, or any other hardware development software. The only software you really need is the Arduino development software.

Can somebody know, who developed ArduPilot?
Thanks!
