Hello,

I'm part of a developer team which wants to develop an application that can control an ArduCopter, using MAVLINK messages.

Our application is written with Qt, and it runs on Windows. The goal of the app is integrating touch-based manual control, automatic control and video in a single window, plus many other perks.

So far our app can open the data-stream to get GPS and attitude variables, and apparently is sending waypoints to the copter, though it hasn't been properly tested.

The thing is, now we would like to bypass the RC, much alike the joystick feature of Mission Planner, and for some reason that is not working at all. We're using the RC_OVERRIDE message, giving it custom values for the first 4 channels. But the copter does not seem to recognize them - after arming the copter with the original RC, the rotors don't spin when we send the message. Maybe a certain mode is needed?

Any help that any one of you can give us would be enormously appreciated.

Of course, our application is 100% open source.

Thanks in advance.
