Has anyone been (or tried) using the Digi XTend 900MHz modem with your APM? I've been looking for a decent radio that will provide much greater range than the XBee and this one's output power is programmable from 1mW to 1W. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I have a set that I will try to implement shortly. I hear they are a pain to get going right as they are more suited for small packet strings, and low duty cycle, unlike mavlink's constant communications.
They have a buffer that can fill up too quickly. They worked great on my weather balloon project, where they were just connected directly to the GPS.
