I read a lot of stuff and did my research before buying my first drone and as the title suggests, I'd like to build my own drone. My goal is to have a stable drone to be used for aerial videos with SJ4000.
Basically I want something that is like a Phantom at first, easy to pilot, but with potential to add functions in the future. After researching several threads here, rcgroups and blogs about DJI Phantom Alternative comes to the conclusion that the CX20 can be a good option. However I see that this quad is several years old. And its capabilities are closer to the original Phantom 1 than the current P3/P4 or DJI Mavic.
That's why I wonder if by the end of 2016 there is no better option to start flying directly off the shelf with a DIY friendly platform.
