DIY Heavy lift conversion kit for hexa?

Hey guys,

Planning to build a F550 for AP/AV

Was looking at the heavy conversion kit from Aerial Media Pros but it's way too expensive for me.

So now I'm wondering if I should buy the ARF kit of F550 or just get the frame and buy bigger/stronger motors/blades/ESC's to make it a heavy lifter (planning to put a 5D on it)

So has anyone tried making their own and how they did it?
