I am looking to build up a Aerial UAV with build in long range LIDAR capabilities and releasing it on here for all to see.
I can't seem to find a LIDAR unit that is light enough to fit on a UAS aircraft. I prefer to use an electric glider with a fairly large wing loading capacity, but even a glow model would do.
The smallest aerial LIDAR system I can find at this time is about 100 pounds, and its seems as if I will need a unit that weighs 20 pounds or less for any glow model to accommodate.
Thoughts?

I think they have integrated Riegl's lidar on board
Well, to be honest, I think 200 Meters is going to be sufficient. Update Rate and Resolution can be negotiable, I just need the unit to be lightweight as to allow for hand launching if possible.
What kind of performance do you need - range, update rate and resolution?
