Hi everyone,

has anyone ever tried PixHawk with Software Version 3.1.4 on traditional helicopter?

I already have tried this combination, but without success.  Once the helicopter is lifted for a few inch, it starts to wobbling. The wobbling would cause the helicopter to destroy itself.

I thought that the Stabilize P- Value of roll and nick is too high so I reduced them to 1 (nearly no stabilisation).

Unfortunately, I realized that nothing has changed on the wobbling.

Is it possible that Stabilize P = 1 for roll and nick are still too high?

So If anybody has an idea how I can fix wobbling, please don't hesitate to give me the answer.

Afterwards I tried to load the Firmware 3.0.1 because I already have tested it succesfully, but it was not able to get it via MissionPlanner (Error 404 Page not found).

I have added the param file in the appendix.

  • I fly 3.1.4 on my Trex 550e DFC pro and Trex 700e DFC (stretched to 800).  Rob's suggestions on parameters are usually what you need to get going.

  • Yes, absolutely it can work.  I am using 3.1.2, which has no difference to 3.1.4 in regards to basic stability.

I see that your Rate Roll and Pitch P is 0.15.  This is likely your problem.  Reduce that.

Your question makes me concerned that you haven't read the Wiki at all?

    • Thank you for the advise.

I changed the rate values and now it works very well.

I already have read the wiki, but I thought that I can take the values from older versions.
