  • Haven't looked through yet.

Would be interesting to know what their minimums are.

TC only requires $100 000 minimum, but we've learned already that insurers aren't interested in anything so tiny - they want coverages in the million-dollar range and up, or it's a waste of their time.

For a lot of flyers, especially those operating away from humans, the insurance is more to stay legal than for actual needs. So lower minimums would be appreciated.

Also appreciated would be more drone-friendly providers, for whom drones are their main business, not a minor side-business. Perhaps then, the risk of being rejected because of anything unconventional in your set-up or application (and thereby shut-down, effectively) would diminish.

Some here have suggested lack of familiarity with the technology by some insurers has them mis-appreciating what's actually risky or not. (?)

And a wild card may be - TC has hinted they may drop the insurance requirement altogether for the smallest UAVs (akin to the current sub-2 kg exemption category). If it happens, it will happen this year.
