Drone seen near airport - JFK

In consideration of the FAA's rules around using RC aircraft around airports (see link to story below), is there a way to import aviation sectionals into APM Mission Planner so that one may be sure to stay away from any and all controlled airspace?  I have seen other tools where aviation sectionals are available for Google Earth, and there are websites like Skyvector, but it would be most valuable to see it in the mission plan, even if just for verification.

    That's not to dismiss your idea.... I'm not sure everyone would be comfortable taking on the global responsibility to define and serve the data for the world on where the no fly zones are, however fabulous it would be if it were done. But in the meantime, I thought you'd want a constructive alternative.

    Since you must fly line of sight, and you should know the area you are flying in, you can rely instead on the geofence feature. Rather than defining areas of the world not to fly into, define a box around the area you are flying.

    If you find the nova-UAV-flyers group you'll find some google maps. I didn't publish the version with the NOTAM restrictions, but it is not that difficult to assemble this information. See a local RC group or a local pilot to help define your region.
