Dynam HawkSky Help

Hi everyone,

I am new to RC plane and UAV. I want to build a UAV myself. I bought a Dynam HawkSky as my first platform. Everything is fine, but the ESC and brushless motor. I turn on the TX and put the throttle in the off position. Then plug in the battery to ESC. Then move the throttle up and down. The motor only turns after I pass the middle position and it runs very slow and discontinuously. It is like there are some forces against it.(two force push one direction, one force push the other direction). I check the servos and they works fine and I can control them through TX. So I think there might be something wrong with ESC or motor. Is there a procedure that I need to follow to set up TX with ESC? or Is there any way to check ESC or motor individually?

Thanks! I appreciate any help!

  • Thanks for the help!
contacted the seller and get ESC replaced. But think about upgrade it.
  • I had this problem. The motor twitches back and fourth in a way. I found the problem to be the ESC is just cheap. I recommend upgrading to a 20amp ESC and a microjet v3 motor from grayson hobby. Here is the link >>>>

  • Hello, you can see who has never flown a rc plane electric, you can put the data in the esc and motor to have some way of knowing what material is used.
