So far this Quad Copter has cost about $350(AUD) to build including the radio gear. I will post a build list soon.
I had thought this was going to be an expensive hobby to get in to but have been pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble, program & tune. The first test flight was a bit wobbly but we soon got the hang of it.
I'm taking it to a football field this weekend (weather permitting) to get some much better footage.

Heres the parts list, you can get them from this ebay store http://stores.ebay.com.au/meleeshop-c-o-m
The parts arrived by DHL nice and fast, nothing was damaged and at all works as expected. I did have to flash the controller though so the craft fly's in as an X instead of a +
I understand that you can request that reprogram it before it ships.
Side note, The KK Multicopter board can be used in any configuration you choose. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10 rotor configurations are supported. I can only say that the XCopter configuration works well, i haven't tried any other.

I'm working on a Drone project for a Design class and am interested in mounting the propellers under the motors. Did you decide to go with that configuration and are the any special part requirements or will the [arts list you posted above work.
Thanks for any information
