Greetings, I have the Hex kit well on it's way. Doing calibrations with APM 2.5. Tried the "automatic" calibration for all 6 ESCs. 2 motors didn't respond, just clicking from their ESCs. Tried the "manual" approach. Same motors/ESCs... no go, just clicking. The other 4 are good. Checked all soldering, used volt meter, all checked out.Any one have some thoughts? (Newbie here... please keep it simple!!)

Double check the wiring and that the motors spin freely. If they are wired properly and spin freely I wouldn't rule out the ESC or motor being bad. Try swapping the motors and ESC around to see if the issue follows one or the other.
