I'm running 30a Simonk firmware ESCs on a quad with genuine 3DR Pixhawk.
When I run ESC calibration (all at once) I run through the process in the ardupilot documentation.
When the throttle is up, I wait, but hear no tones at all. I'll wait for a good long time and get nothing.
When I then move the throttle to the low position, I'll hear the 'calibrated' beeps. Not sure if they're actually coming from my ESCs or from the Pixhawk.
Once this is done, I'll touch the throttle and the motors all power up smoothly and in sync.
The quad flies pretty well, still tweaking balance and PID settings, but don't feel like I have any issues with the ESCs
If I were to think there was an issue, it would be the slight YAW I constantly have to correct for, even with subtrim adjusted to accommodate that. So I wonder if the motors aren't running quite as in sync as I think they are.
So...really my question is - Should I be concerned that there are no beep sounds or cell number beeps when I run 'throttle high' part of the calibration?
