ESC's refuses to Calibrate = Frustration

Morning everyone.

I need help as I a at mu wits end.

I have the Hobbyking Pixhawk and RCT 30A ESC's

I initially had problems with calibrating my ESC's with my joystick and got a FLY SKY radio as I thought that the problem with my ESC'S was my joystick.

However I still have problems with calibrating my ESC's even with the Radio.

I use the all in one method and after arming the Pixhawk, I wait for the tones and then bring the throttle back to minimum and get receive the last tones. I then test the motors and leave them running.

However after about 10 seconds the no 1 motor suddenly stops and then jitters without turning.

Any advice will be apprecaited

  • Barry, I am building a Hex and I am also having some problems getting the ESCs to sync.  I am using Velotech 30a running SimonK.  I've have had some success  tweaking the RC_SPEED parameter.  I'm not sure what the downside is of lowering the RC_SPEED.

Here's a link to that thread:

Waiting for a VeloTech USB tool to arrive so that I can try BLHeli.
