esc to hot with 2kg hexcopter?

Hi

I have the following setup and I think that the esc get too hot: 50-60degrees

6x Keda 20L22

6x 10x4.5 props

6x Hobbyking HK30 with 25 A permanent current possibility

3s 5700 Lipo

Canon C11 camera

58cm fram with 10mm alu

2kg averall weight with lipo and camera

Is this too heavy? Is the temperature ok?

I plan to do the following:

80cm frame made of 15mm aluminium

more stable landing frame

maybe bigger motors and better escs?

thank you and good bye

       Franz

    Hi Franz,

Ik also have a hexa with those 22-20L motors, 25A esc's and 10x3.8 APC props.  It weighs about 1900g, so almost 2kg.  My esc's barely get warm at all, certainly not 50-60°C.  Do you use the bec of those esc's or did you disconnect the red cable in the servo wire to the esc ?

I have found that these esc's can get pretty hot just from the bec alone.  I now use a seperate 3A low noise bec (also from hobbyking) and my esc's stay cool.
