Expo settings - advice needed

I have a er9x and want to cut down my sudden & full movements of the ele, ail, rud controls. (I love the big throttle when I see my quad falling fast. It works great)

I tried adjusting the LIMITS, but didn't have much luck with it. I couldn't arm/disarm because I had the limits set to +-50 percent I think.

My plan is to set the EXPO to +-100 percent for the 3 channels. The curve display is shown on my er9x transmitter. It also displays DR and Hi which I do not understand. I left the weight at +-100.

I'm back to the Stabilize & AltHold only mode, trying to get a bit better steering what I refer to as "my 3 pound brick". I have one switch set for RTL. Can't wait until I can try auto takeoff and land. :)

Switching back to flex (glass) props for a while, the carbons are going to be saved for when I can fly/land. They don't like 90 degree landings.

Having fun for sure.

Any all comments appreciated. (Even the ones saying I need to use the simulator program more.) :)

  • I normally use about 34% expo on my multi-copters.  I don't recommend you crank it way up like that.

Instead, figure out how to use the "Dual Rates" function on your transmitter if you want to turn down the gains some of the time.

It seems like you're also somewhat new to RC.  If so, a flight simulator for your computer will save you a lot of time and money in the long run.  A few hours spent there will save many in repairs.
