How far do you want to extend your range? extended range flying done in AP / RC mode? Any FPV or telemetry ? What is your current platform and power options? what is payload capacity and spare right now? More info on your setup will get you some good help here. Good luck
Make sure you have the right motor and prop combination, try and get the draw below 5 amps and you will be well on the way.
Without a viable sense and avoid system and correct qualification, ie a pilots licence there will be no chance for flight outside of VLOS for a long while.
