External GPS / Compass

Has anyone tried using this particular GPS / Compass with Ardupilot 2.6

If so how are the leads connected to the 2.6

I am very new to this. Building my first quad.

Nice looking unit, but I notice there seems to be only 4 wires. I wonder if the compass data comes over the UART link instead of I2C (the usual way).

    Can't help with that,sorry. Me, first thing, I'd hook it up to a USB serial converter and any old terminal program just to make sure I was getting data.
    
    There's a customer review that has this:
    
    Connection documentation is:
    
    Red: 5volt
    
    Tiny Black: GND
    
    Thick black:Unknown (please let me know!)
    
    White: Tx (put this in a serial RX)
