Hi, I am a lowly high school student who is very interested in making an rc/unmanned vehicle of some sort. I believe i could build and configure it properly, but my funds are based off of birthdays and Christmas. Are there any systems/mods/equipment that you know of that i could use to build a project under 100$? Anything would be useful. Thanks much.

Have a look for SPAD airframes, (Simple Plastic Airframe Designs) my favourite is the http://www.mugi.co.uk and build your system bit by bit. You will get there in the end. The one thing not to save money on is the transmitter that you use. Quality in that department always pays off. Good luck and just start. Oh don't forget you can always download and play with HKs GCS and various other bits of software here for free. That won't be wasted time in your journey!

I wasn't looking for a complete UAV system. Just inexpensive and useful components that i can use on my own diverse projects. Ex: solar powered fpv plane that can be controlled from long distances, a lake patrolling battleship capable of airsoft weaponry. Something useful for unique ideas. thanks very much for the help though!
