Maybe this would be a blog post but I suspect many people here already know about this.
How hard would it be to get in touch with the FMA team and get this implemented into some of the arducopter code asap?
I realize this is the type of in flight incident that should never happen with proper maintenance and proper preflight checklists. As many of you have pointed out, however, we have a real challenge ahead of us to present ourselves to the government and the public as concerned with safety above all else. This is exactly the type of stuff that encourages the public to support cUAV operations.
Well, maybe not support, but at least to not fight it tooth and nail.
