Will it support the failsafe features in the ArduCopter 3.0 firmware?
I've seen conflicting info on this, and I want to make sure it'll work.

I'll warn you that probably 90% of the people on this forum are hobbyists and don't have a lot of working knowledge about how the APM works myself included. From the discussions I've been in on most of the people are brainstorming on how to fix something or what's wrong.
Only a few people can interpret logs and complex problems.
On that note I can tell you that the fail safes definitely work with this radio setup. I have used the stock V2 9x with the fail-safes and they work. Most notably when I was testing the 0% throttle. I would drop the throttle below the threshold and the fail-safe would immediately take over.
There is also a really good guide from one of the posters on here on how to get 6 flights modes with the 9x. You'll have to search for it.
