As discussed in the other thread, I wish my pixhawk didn't have a safety switch, or if it had one, that it were used only to arm the motor, not the servos.
So for my own safety I use motor arm via rudder (which I now have working), but if I didn't push the safety button, the very clear 'please arm' signal is ignored and I get back a warning to push the safety switch.
This really feels pointless, is there a way to turn that off, or if not, could it be added to the feature request list?
Two reasons why it's actually a problem:
I walk across the field to set my plane somewhere safe for takeoff, walk back, arm remotely, and then I'm told I can't take off, and have to walk across the field again.
Worse: if I get an in filight reboot, my plane will keep on flying for a wihle, but I'll never be allowed to rearm or control my plane, giving a guaranteed crash that would have been avoidable.
Makes sense?
Thanks, Marc
