Hi all,
I am currently doing research for building an optimal hex copter for long distance flights with heavy payloads. Since I have no experience in building hexacopter especially in that size I would appreciate your opinion on my theoretical setup. Any hints, critics and tips are welcome!
As said, the goal is to carry a payload of 1-2kg over a long distance (basically a camera setup).
The parameters chosen for now, seem to be valid in eCalc (see attachment). But I'm not so sure if it's really going to fly.
Perhaps you have some hints to expand the distance that can be reached?
Parts:
- Engine: TigerMotor MN4120-400
- Frame: Tarot X6 (960mm)
- Flight controller: Pixhawk 2
- Props: Aeronaut Power-Prop 18x10
- ESC: Turnigy MultiStar 40A V2 Slim BLHeli
Any comments on the design are welcome!
