I have two APM 2.0's that will not upload firmware. In MP 1.2.53 when I select a firmware to upload (doesn't matter which one) The firmware update process hangs on "reading hex file" at about 85 percent complete. I then get "communication error - no connection".
I am able to connect normally and adjust PID's or read my logs via CLI etc. The only issue I come up against is when updating firmware.
I tried CLI setup erase and reset.
Because I have two diffferent APM's with the same problem I assume its with my computer...any ideas?
Thanks,
Ted

Problem Solved: however what it took to solve it is not going to help the community too much. I re-installed windows, a clean slate computer. Firmware uploads just fine, running the stock driver that windows 7 and/or mission planner installed.
Try uninstalling the device on the port (but keep the driver software) in Device Manager, then disconnect and reconnect and let it reload the driver, then check. BTW, I have a PC that won't download logs but will do everything else, my laptop does everything fine.
no, both my APM 2.0's are legit 3dr boards.
update:
I can upload code directly from Arduino. The firmware update process hangs in mission planner. Any ideas?
