Hi everyone.
i finally got my skyfun together and am going to test fly it on saturday morning (AEST).
Just wondering if their is any advice from anyone or anyone running 2.1 firmware that have tweaked any values to improve the sky fun?
I have read it runs perfect on default settings, so fingers crossed it does. I have an airspeed sensor and im under the assumption that it will fluctuate throttle as necessary. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG.
I have just finished all the testing on the computer and done stabilisation testing on the ground and everything seems to be great so far.

ok well a little update have flown it a few times now, stabilise works great after a few tweaks compliments of doug and RTL worked great. However its now lost in the outback of Australia :( i did an autopilot test over about a 400m course today and it did some funny things. it went to the first waypoint and loitered (which i did not out in as a command, flicked RTL it didn't obey although manual overide worked but at this stage it kept circling and getting further and further away. i then flicked manual back on and then quickly flicked to auto again hoping it would get back on track, no luck it headed towards waypoint 2 and just kept circling getting further and further away. It was over a big block of land when it was circling and i still had sight of it but in manual mode it was too far away for me to tell what was up/down etc..... then i lost site of it, im hoping that it has crashed so hopefully this afternoon the 1.6km walk/ SAR mission will end positive.
I have absolutely no idea what went wrong and why it was loitering in certain spots.
Thanks for the advice on launching, i had a stryker when they first came out so i know how much of a fun time a wing can be to launch haha.
Im just running the stock system on the skyfun for now, after i get confident with the ardupilot i will upgrade the power house.
Its looking like im going to have to reschedule the first flight, the weather is looking terrible for the weekend now.
Hi Trent,
my recommendation is to look at a few videos of people launching Skyfuns, probably this will be the most difficult procedure. Is it stock or did you upgrade the power system?
Good luck on Saturday!
