Hey guys,
Not sure if this is under the right topic?
I am currently having fun with a jDrones Quad and it is flying great.
I am thinking of transferring the hardware over to a F550 frame to have a bit of hex fun. My question is how do I connect the ESC signal up to the APM board if I use the built in PDB of the F550 frame.
I see it has solder pads for the power wires of the ESC's and battery but how do I hook up the signal wires of the esc's. Currently as you are aware the PDB of my quad has the signals going into the PDB 3pin headers and then coming from the PDB as four wires I hook into the APM motor inputs. Hope that makes sense!!
Would it be easier to bypass the F550 PDB and grab a hex PDB from jDrones or the like.
Surely I am missing a simple way here.
Cheers

The way I do it with a APM 2.5 is just hook all the ESC 3 pin plugs to the APM, it works just fine. If you wanted to you could remove the red power wires from 5 of the motors and just power the APM with the remaining 1.
Is there anything stopping me connecting each ESC 3 wire signal plug directly to the APM for each individual motor?
