Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same problem,
but I have the latest version of mission planner in windows but the flights modes are not visible as options, ie window appears blank, nothing to choose from????

Yes,
I had a connection via USB but modes were not visible,
I did switch to APM planner v2.0 and I could set the modes. I think there is bug somewhere on mission planner, it did work ok previously.
