**Flipping after succesful flight (Quad)

Welcome fellow members, this is my first post, and I am calling upon your expertise!

I have been having problems with my quadcopter flipping midflight, after successful manual and auto missions have been flown in the same session.  The most recent crash involved it doing a successful mission all by itself, with another flight flown IMMEDIATELY after, all to have it flip and crash on the same exact mission.

Does anyone have any similar problems or more importantly…any solutions or insight on the root cause?

Here is the log file that was recorded during flight.  The successful flight starts/ends at about line 22358 to 23554 and the failure flight is from 23720 to 24238.  I have also attached the waypoint text file below.

Setup:

     3D Robotics Quadcopter (stock)

     LI-PO battery, 11.1V,4500mAh

     GoPro Hero3 Strapped below battery

I was able to continue flying without further problems doing the following:

-Recalibrate the ESC's with the following settings:brake disabled, NiMH/NiCD battery, soft cut-off low voltage protection, cutoff voltage threshold at low, normal star-up mode.

-Wiring the ESC's to a different motor.

  • Using the log files, I was able to determine it was most likely not the software.  What are the typical hardware failures that cause the propellers to stop spinning?
