I own a FLIR One camera that operates with an app on an android phone (The FLIR One app).
What I WANT to do is modify this camera so that I can mount it on my drone without sending the cell phone up with it. In other words, I just want a direct video feed from the FLIR, pass it to a video transmitter on my drone @ 5.8 so that I can view it on the ground.
But I am at a loss on how to take the outgoing signal that comes from the FLIR and hack it so that it will do what I want. For those who may not be familiar with the FLIR One, it is a standard mini USB male that is supposed to attach to the bottom of an android smartphone so you can use it to detect heat, such as you might find in your own house.
This seems like a simple hack, and surely someone has done this, but I can't find it on the web anywhere. Thought I would query the smart people here.
Thanks.
